Despite being sick as dogs, I really can't see life getting much better than this. Thinking about bringing another little human into this world is blowing my mind- in the best way possible.
The snow and it's remnants are long gone. Only lasting in our memories, and oh what wondrous memories they are. Friday was most magical with more Louisian snow than I've ever seen and our little bayou town turned into the most glamorous winter wonderland.
Right now, it seems like things are far from perfect, or comfortable, or joyous. But I'm still basking in the joy and peace and comfort that this season brings and the goodness that the Lord continues to pour upon our hearts.
I think I may be dying (totally exaggerating), but it kind of feels like it. So while we're a bazillion degrees warmer than we were less than a week ago, I think we might just snuggle with my sick kids like it's freezing again and pray that we start feeling better soon. .

Throwing something new into my feed for you guys- just call it a pregnancy side effect.
These pregnancy cravings are seriously killing me. It's something new everyday. Ok I'm lying, it's more like every meal. I seriously can't make up my mind at what cuisine I'm interested in at what meal. Which is why I love my pressure cooker even more right now. It's faster than take out! (Ad) But if you've got a hankering for a Mexican flare- this is the perfect option to get your tastebuds aboard the fiesta train! These Pressure Cooker Black Bean and Corn Quinoa Bowls are so yummy- and bonus points because it's another dump dish that's done in less than 30 minutes flat.
To top off the party, some WHOLLY® SIMPLY AVOCADO™ Garlic and Herb spread from Walmart. This convenient substitute for fresh avocado really ties the whole dish together!
What are you having for supper tonight?
Remember that time I told you guys that I was pregnant and then I disappeared off the face of the earth? Well, still pregnant. Obviously. But here's our exciting news!
Baby #3 is officially a GIRL and Johannah is head over heels about it and her excitement totally melts me.
Elijah doesnt really seem to understand or care, he just points and says "baby", then is on to his trains again. Typical boy.
26 weeks + 1 day down and I'm trying to savor every stage of motherhood. It's all passing by so quickly and I just want to tuck every moment into my memories.
This phase of life is messy and beautiful and fast and crazy. I feel like I'm chasing after time because everything is moving so quickly.
Maybe it's my hormones, or maybe I'm just lost in the Christmas spirit, but I'm just so overwhelmingly thankful- and oh so glad about it.
What the world, guys?! Louisiana may get snow for Christmas. That makes twice in one year- I am trying not to get my hopes up, but I could really deal with a little more white magic right now. In celebration of (hopefully) ringing in a White Christmas, enjoy the cutest bundle of snow angel smiles you'll ever see. We're FINALLY feeling better, if this pregnant mama could just get some sleep. Between the whole family being sick, mama playing nurse, and just the lack of sleep during pregnancy I'm pretty much done with. By the way, anybody have crazy dreams during pregnancy? I've had them for all three thus far, and I literally woke up crying this morning. I was dream crying, so weird. The real festivities start around here on Friday, so I'm running like a mad woman trying to finish Christmas shopping. I'm also not even half way thru wrapping all this stuff. 🙈🙊 #slackerstatus Happy Christmas week, folks!
This is real life. Family portraits are always a little reminder of how crazy we really are. 😂 I always get a little sentimental as the year comes to an end. Queue even more sentiments and emotions since I'm in the heart of pregnancy. But this reality is the one I won't forget, because even though no one's even looking at the camera, there's some serious side eye going on, and you can't even see my husband's face, look at my smile.
This is exactly what family means to me. It's real and raw, crazy, emotional, hidden, and happy. So much happy.
Thinking about what Christ has in store for next year is only exciting me. Through this baby we only have a small glimpse of what's to come.
In less than 3 months, we'll welcome in our third child. We'll hopefully find the perfect home for our family (before baby?) and we are desperately looking forward to God sending the answers to some very long-prayed prayers.
My heart is exploding with all the feels that come with reflection and expectation. Because 2017 has been a blur and it's just a few more sleeps left until 2018.
I've never done this before, but there's been a single word on my heart lately and I feel like it may be my lifeline for New Year. So my biggest goal for 2018 is to be Intentional. To be intentional in everything that I do and through everything I put my hands to.
What are your goals for 2018? Have you chosen a word to live through in the New Year? .

Just when we were getting in a little semi-groove of taking photos as a family of four, we toss another kid in there and we all look awkward as ever.
Our little babe celebrated her first Easter Sunday by losing her umbilical stump. At two weeks, she's shed the last remnants of her physical attachment to me and I may have been a little emotional about it.
We spent our morning worshiping the risen Savior, lunch with family, then a relaxing evening of movies and dying eggs with the big kids. There seriously isn't much more that I could ask for without just being plain old greedy.
Happy Resurrection Day, folks! I hope your day was as full of heart-bursting joy as ours!
