(This post was sponsored by Wild Animal Safari of Strafford Missouri. However, All opinions are my own. In all honesty, this was not our first visit, we would have gone even if this visit was not sponsored. It’s just that good.)
I wish someone would have given me this information sooner. I wish someone would have told me not to waste my money. I wish someone would have shared with me all the hidden treasures of Branson, MO.
But I don’t have to wish anymore though because I went, and seen, and did. Now I’m dishing on Branson’s best-kept secret, and *spoiler alert* it’s not those lame Branson Zoo’s.
Each time we visit Branson, this is the highlight of our trip, and I’m sure it’ll be yours too. Because Wild Animal Safari does not disappoint. So worth the drive, so worth the money, so worth the time. And I’m not being a bit exaggerative about that either
Look, the first time we went to Branson, we visited those zoos too. Honestly, we left pretty disappointedly. Don’t get me wrong, if you have the time and the money, go for it (as long as you go to the Wild Animal Safari too). But if not, don’t stress it, you’re not missing out on much.
I know that Wild Animal Safari is actually in Strafford, but it’s really not that far from Branson, and when you calculate the amazing experience you’ll get. I know you’ll go back time and time again and it’ll be a whole new experience each and every time!
Another tip, go ahead and skip the drive-through and opt for the bus ride. I know it sounds crazy, and I would usually tell you to go adventuring on your own. But the tour guides at The Wild Animal Safari are amazing! They are an experience on their own, and you won’t want to miss out on that!
Furthermore, when you take the bus tour, you have the opportunity to feed the animals. These animals know when that bus pulls up there will be food which is where the most fun is! Just wait until the driver lets the camel eat from his mouth, you’ll be so amazed you’ll want to puke.
Be adventurous; touch an animal tongue, get spat on, let them lick you. It’s so gross, I concur. But you won’t regret it, and neither will your kids. To this day, my daughter still talks about the safari bus ride as if we actually traveled through the terrains of Africa.
This hidden gem is at the top of our list for visiting Branson and we can’t get enough of it. As if the bus tour and one-on-one with animals aren’t enough, there’s also a walk-through zoo with more animals. Almost all of the animals here can be fed as well! And if you follow us on Instagram, then you know we have a serious obsession with feeding giraffes!
Not only did we feed the giraffes, we fed monkeys and peacocks and wild cats too! While the walkthrough isn’t much, it’s still a better experience than the other Branson Zoos. In my humble opinion that is.
