UPDATE: July 2018

Next to Black Friday, Prime Day is my absolute favorite shopping day. If you’re not an Amazon Prime member already, you’re totally missing out. From free two-day shipping to free movies, t.v., music, and then Amazon Photo’s; Amazon is the number one place to be doing any online shopping.

3 Things You Should Buy On Amazon Prime Day - The Fervent Mama: Just like with Black Friday, you'll want to shop around to be sure that you're getting the best deals. There are some duds on Amazon Prime Day too. So what things should you buy on Amazon Prime Day 2017?

What is Prime Day?
Prime Day is a one day super sale for those who take advantage of Amazon Prime. The savings are absolutely huge, and even though the $99 yearly price tag seems hefty the benefits are far more worth it; so many freebies and discounts. Amazon Prime Day 2018 will start on Monday, July 16th and run thru July 17th.

Why should you be shopping Amazon Prime Day?
According to BestBlackFriday.com, 77 percent of 2016 Prime Day prices were better than Black Friday prices. So, you’re telling me that I can get better prices than Black Friday from the comfort of my sofa? Yes, please.

What do you need to know about Amazon Prime Day?
– Prime’s day of deals will actually run for 36 hours this year. It will kick off at 3 p.m. ET on July 16 and run through July 17th. Deals will be offered every 5 minutes, so keep your eyes peeled!
– Amazon advises shoppers to use the Amazon app, where deals will be posted 24 hours ahead of time. Inside the Amazon app, you can even set an alert for when your saved offer begins.
– Those who do not choose to sign up for Amazon Prime will not receive the steepest discounts.

3 things you should buy on Amazon Prime Day

Amazon Devices
Kindle, Firestick, Echo; All of these Amazon-branded devices will be on a steep discount for Prime Day. The prices on these will probably not be beaten, or even matched, until Prime Day 2018. Be sure you scoop them up really quick. Last year, I snatched a FireStick for $20. This year, I might even fetch myself an extra, too.

Toys & Video Games
Stock up on those birthday and Christmas gifts! According to Tom’s Guide, top brand name toys were concluded the day with giant savings “For toys, in 2016, we saw up to 50 percent off Nerf, Barbie and Fisher-Price toys.” As far as video games go, be sure to watch for Amazon gift card freebies on bundles for games like Xbox and PlayStation.

Tech Accessories
According to Amazon, on Prime Day in 2016, there were over 200,000 pairs of headphones sold. That number doesn’t include any other gadgets, isn’t that crazy? Amazon is also known for trying to sell off all of their virtual stock on this day, which means HUGE deals on some popular products; this includes cell phone and tablet cases, headphones, chargers, accompanying subscriptions, and more.

Your best option is to completely delve into Amazon Prime Day deals, just get it all. No, don’t. I’m really just kidding. Just like with Black Friday, you’ll want to shop around to be sure that you’re getting the best deals. There are some duds on Prime Day too.

I’m so excited about Prime Day that I’ll be sharing some major deals when Prime Day starts on July 10th. Follow close on our Facebook Page to be sure you don’t miss out on anything you should buy on Amazon Prime Day.
