I talk to you guys all the time about real life, so I’m gonna be real honest with you guys in this post. As a mama, I never stop. I think all the other mamas are agreeing with me on this one. Cooking, cleaning, momming, homemaking, homeschooling, and blogging after bedtime, our adventures never end. It’s just so easy to get burned out.
Look, I’m like a squirrel. At any given time I’m doing 3 different things, thinking about 4 more things, and moving as fast as my body will let me to accomplish the task and to slow my brain. But the problem is, I never really finish one thing before moving to the next, and then at the end of the day, I’m rushing to finish everything, which usually ends in a mom fail.
If you’re anything like me, you’ve completely run yourself ragged trying to keep up with just the daily duties that come with being a wife, a homemaker, and a mom. I was absolutely there. I wasn’t sure where to even start when it came to getting out of the funk that I was in.
TIP: When you need a little extra pick me up to get out of that funk I was talking about, get natural caffeine from green tea in Emergen-C® Energy+.* Find it in the Vitamin aisle under the Natural Nutrition & Energy section at your local Walgreens!
I tried something totally new and decided to write down all of my daily homemaking tasks and schedule them out in a way that could fit any lifestyle. By creating some type of routine, I knew that I wouldn’t be so apt to get overwhelmed at being who God called me to be: His child, my husband’s wife, my kid’s mother, and my home’s matriarch.
It was extremely important that my Homemaking Checklist was both practical and efficient. We are a spontaneous family, and I really like to go-go-go, so I needed a plan that didn’t leave me overwhelmed when it came down to being that adventurous family.
By writing down and spreading out those homemaking duties, I was able to craft a super simple Printable Homemaking Checklist. The checklist is a simple outline of tasks to do each day that take just a short amount time yet leave you feeling accomplished and not so distressed if you play a little hooky.

As a bonus, I’ve included an extra printable of deep cleaning tasks that you can add into your daily tasks box as they fit your needs. So not only are you getting a pre-filled Homemaking Checklist, but also a fillable checklist, a cleaning list, and a deep cleaning list.
The best way to use the Homemaking Checklist is to print it out and then laminate it. Not only is it more durable, but you can hang it and use some dry erase markers to mark or fill in your tasks. That way, you save both time and money when it comes to keeping up with, well, life.
