Growing up, there weren’t many things that my mama didn’t make from scratch. I remember the old bread making machine she’d put up on the counter, the yummy smell of homemade bread that filled our house, and the extra hefty helping of real butter that seeped into that warm fluffy goodness.
Bread. Who doesn’t love bread, right? But really, this post isn’t about bread. It’s about my memories of Rice A Roni. You know, that rice and noodle stuff that you buy in the box. Well, my mama didn’t make that homemade, but you sure couldn’t tell it was from a box.
HOMEMADE Pressure Cooker Rice A Roni
Just recently, I was trying to think about a side dish that I could cook in my pressure cooker with those yummy drippings from my Pressure Cooker Whole Chicken, and it hit me to make rice. When I tasted it, I was right back to my mama’s kitchen, eating that yummy Rice A Roni.
So then I took it a step further and added the signature part of that box, NOODLES. Y’all, seriously. If you like Rice A Roni, or chicken flavored rice/noodles, you’ll be BFFs with this recipe. This homemade pressure cooker Rice A Roni is so easy, and a delicious way to use up that Pressure Cooker Bone Broth or Chicken juices.
