You know that dreaded seasonal icky thing that everyone is getting around this time?
The one that makes you regurgitate the contents of your belly and/or squeezes out the contents from the other end, makes your bones feel like they’ve been totally overworked, like every part of you has been completely compromised, and makes you think your dying. The simple mentioning of the word causes complete chaos.

Everyone but Bub has had the symptoms, but because none of us got checked out, I can’t say that’s exactly what we had. But if it wasn’t, I’ve got no clue what it was. It was nearly 3 weeks ago since it first broke out, but that means it’s been floating around here for almost 3 weeks. I was the only one that was sick for more than one day, but of course, that probably had a lot to do with the fact that I don’t get much sleep.

When you don’t have insurance or at least good insurance, you do what you have to do to not have to go to the doctor’s office. Because doctors mean medical bills and ain’t nobody got time fo dat. Anywho, we combated, and I’d like to say that we won; prayer, oils, hot showers, rest, disinfect, repeat.

Johannah was sick for one day, myself for two and Mr. Modest one. We’ve been a little woozy and still haven’t felt 100%, but I’d take this over the latter any day. I firmly believe the Lord kept his hand on us, I believe that prayer took precedence. However, I don’t think the oils hurt to help combat it either.

Lemon and Frank:
Not only is it great for the skin, but applied to the spine provides a great immune booster. The Lemon can help to detoxify and cleanse while the Frank helps to ward off germs.

Thieves:
Applied to the bottom of the feet, Thieves is used as a great disinfectant and helps provide healthy immune function.

Peppermint:
Applied to the back of the neck, Peppermint can help cool and fight a fever. Rubbed in a counter-clockwise motion on the belly can help with soothing stomach troubles, including vomiting. Applied under the nose can help ease nausea and over the forehead and temples to help alleviate pain in the head. {Peppermint can also help drive in an oil, especially those associated with pain.}

PanAway:
Applied over sore and pained areas, PanAway can help alleviate these problems.
