If you haven’t heard of JellyTelly yet, you’re totally missing out. When we put together our list for the top 5 streaming apps for kids, it’s at the very tippy-top of the list! It also helps that it’s less than half the price of its competitive counterparts.

Before we get into the Thanksgiving Videos, let me tell you exactly what JellyTelly is. JellyTelly is a Netflix alternative, but it’s specifically created for Christian kids. This means that you can feel completely guilt-free to let your child roam and watch as they please and not worry that they’re watching something you wouldn’t approve of.

Both my 5-year-old and my 3-year-old absolutely love JellyTelly, and I don’t see this changing anytime soon. Bonus points that JT helps confirm those good Bible roots that you’re trying so hard to instill in your children.

Back to the Thanksgiving videos; we’ve completely dedicated the month of November to giving you the best resources to ensure that you have the most amazing Thanksgiving Holiday. We’re all moms here, so that includes making sure that the kiddos have the proper understanding of what we’re celebrating.

According to the Nielson Co. in 2009, children spent an average of 28-32 hours per week watching television. First off, that’s crazy, limit that time. But secondly, use the remaining time as a positive influence! Use it to teach your kids values, morals, and show them good influences. Not useless junk.

Even as an adult, Buck Denver is pretty entertaining. There’s definitely some creative whit that’s thrown in there which makes it fun for even adults. JellyTelly has three Thanksgiving videos currently listed; What is Thanksgiving, Buck’s Thanksgiving Poem, and Who Made Thanksgiving a Holiday?

Paws and Tales

Paws and Tales is a favorite in our home. They always have great episodes that help teach good morals, and even though these are Christmas episodes, they play an important role with lessons about giving thanks. One, titled Every Good Thing features its lesson on God’s love for us in sending Christ as our Saviour. Another is True Riches, where Ned and Tiffany solve the mystery of the gift-giving bandit. In turn, the duo learns about God’s goodness and the importance of giving thanks.

Yancy and Friends

Since we’ve limited so much tv time lately, we haven’t been able to check out this episode yet. Like all kids, when they have the opportunity, they choose the same thing all.the.time. The video, Don’t be a Turkey has a great song that teaches kids to be thankful for all things! Also, don’t forget about to thank the Lord for his goodness in the song, Lord, I Thank You.

Whirl: Ada and Friends

If we’re being honest, I think “Whirl” is a little strange, but my kids love it. In the video Credit Crusade, Otto struggles when he does a good deed and no one thanks him. The moral is, you don’t always have to be recognized when you do something good or right.

These Thanksgiving Videos on JellyTelly are a great addition to your holiday traditions. If you’re looking for other ways to help teach your kids about Thanksgiving and to really get in the spirit of the Thanksgiving season, keep an eye out for our Thanksgiving themed activities.
